HisunBio, Exceptional products require exceptional equipment
Vessels for a new monoclonal antibody production fax
HisunBio is one of the largest manufacturers of new therapeutic antibodies, with a complete range of treatments. The laboratory specialises in the research, development and production of these biopharmaceutical products to treat immune-mediated diseases and several types of cancer.
As part of its expansion needs, the company called on Pierre Guérin China for its new monoclonal antibody production workshop (4 x 5,000 L). The teams were responsible for the supply and turnkey installation of 8 bioreactors, 8 nutrient tanks, a cleaning station, the associated process distribution networks and a PCS7 automation system (an advanced automation solution for optimising production operations).
A fine reference for this collaboration between the Pierre Guérin China and France teams. The engineering was carried out by the teams in Niort, and the implementation by those in China, near Shanghai.
Our recognised expertise is a convincing argument. Indeed, local manufacturing means optimised pricing and planning compared with imported equipment, and it also means easy communication.
The final little extra was a system for reprocessing passivation water*, enabling over 90% of effluent to be recycled and limiting water consumption.
A real source of pride for the local teams!

*Passivation refers to a metal's ability to protect itself against corrosion by creating a natural or artificial film. For most metals (aluminium, steel, titanium, etc.), this protective layer appears naturally as a result of oxidation.
