Siemens PCS7 Solution
Digital Control System.
Siemens PCS 7 is a control system designed to operate, supervise and optimise industrial processes, while meeting the availability, flexibility and performance requirements of production sites.
Suitable for both simple installations and more complex industrial environments, it enables operations to be centralised, improves operational reliability and supports the long-term evolution of production tools.
PCS 7 includes advanced features for batch process management, with simplified recipe editing, accurate tracking of the different production stages and enhanced traceability.
Its client/server architecture facilitates centralised supervision, while its modular design and high-availability mechanisms help secure service continuity. Finally, our standardised development approach, based on the APL library and compliance with S88 principles, enables the deployment of clear, consistent, maintainable applications that are ready for future developments, particularly towards PCS 7 NEO.
Key features
- Advanced batch process management to improve productivity, reduce cycle times and ensure reliable sequence execution.
- Simplified recipe editing through an intuitive interface that makes it easier to create, adapt and manage production recipes.
- Accurate process step tracking to ensure full traceability and meet the quality requirements of regulated industrial environments.
- High-performance client/server architecture enabling centralised supervision and efficient management, even on a large scale.
- High-availability functions with integrated redundancy, advanced monitoring and rapid recovery in the event of an incident.
- Modular architecture to upgrade installations, integrate new functions and support future needs without challenging the existing system.
- Standardised development with the APL library, ensuring consistency, engineering quality and reduced development times.
- Design compliant with S88 principles to structure applications in a clear, modular way, compatible with the new generations of PCS 7 solutions.
Applications
PCS 7 is designed for a wide range of industrial applications, from production workshops to complex sites requiring centralised supervision, high availability and rigorous process management.
The solution is particularly relevant for batch processes involving structured control of equipment, recipes and operating sequences, but it is also suitable for continuous or hybrid installations. Its flexibility makes it an appropriate solution for both new projects and the modernisation of existing installations.
