WinCC Unified is the next-generation supervisory control and human-machine interface (HMI/SCADA) system developed by Siemens and integrated into the TIA Portal. It enables the control, visualization, and monitoring of industrial facilities in real time via a modern and intuitive interface.
Based on standard web technologies (HTML5, SVG, JavaScript), it adopts a web-native approach, allowing access to the interfaces from various devices without requiring any specific client-side installation.
The solution is flexible and scalable: a single project can be deployed on an operator console (Unified Comfort Panel) or on a PC running WinCC Unified Runtime. On a panel, the interface is displayed directly for local use. It can also be accessed from other devices via a web browser, either over the network or remotely, depending on the configuration. On a PC, the runtime acts as a supervision server, running the project and enabling multi-user access via web browsers.
WinCC Unified thus offers a modern, centralized solution tailored to the challenges of industrial digitalization.
