Safety is everyone’s responsibility
At PIERRE GUERIN, health and safety is not just a matter of rules, it's above all a mindset. Since 2023, we have been working to evolve our practices through the program "Health and Safety Culture: Everyone Responsible". It is based on a simple yet essential belief: safety begins with looking out for one another. Everyone, regardless of their role or seniority, has a part to play.
Building this culture means learning to see our daily actions differently: reporting risks without hesitation, stopping a task if something feels unsafe, sharing good ideas or feedback, and recognizing those who lead by example. This transformation is taking shape step by step, through open dialogue and shared commitment.
As part of our Ambition 2027 corporate project, several internal initiatives are underway to continuously improve safety performance, strengthen prevention through training, redesign workspaces to make them safer and more ergonomic, and encourage experience sharing to foster collective progress.
Tangible actions, shared commitment
Since the launch of the program, initiatives have been multiplying across all our sites. Through awareness and training, we address real-life situations, strengthen best practices, and give each team member the tools to identify and prevent risks.
Team meetings are now a cornerstone of our safety culture, a time to discuss real-life situations, learn from experience, and drive continuous improvement toward one goal: zero accidents.
A clear framework to guide daily actions
At the heart of our safety policy are Equans’ 12 Golden Rules, a common standard across all sites, designed to guide safe behavior in every aspect of our work.
Newcomers go through a safety-focused onboarding process from day one, so that prevention becomes second nature in their day-to-day work.
Our workstations are continuously reviewed and improved to offer each team member a safe, ergonomic, and comfortable work setting. Dedicated signage across all sites promotes safe behavior, while layouts are adapted to the physical demands of each role.
Every detail matters. A well-designed workspace, a corrected posture, an anticipated movement, together, these actions gradually build a true shared culture of safety.
Together, we go further
It’s our daily actions that make the difference. When safety becomes second nature and a shared priority, we create a safer, more responsible, and more peaceful workplace for all.
