The Arras production site, flagship of the LFB Group
The pharmaceutical group Laboratoire Biopharmaceutique Français (LFB), which develops, manufactures and markets therapeutic proteins for serious and rare diseases, has launched near Arras (62) the largest industrial drug production site in France.
The new plant, which will produce plasma-derived drugs and recombinant proteins, will enable the group to triple its production capacity and envisage the creation of 250 jobs by 2024.
Aside from the 96 process tanks and 20 cleaning-in-place (CIP) stations with their associated 180 skids, designed and built by Pierre Guerin, the order includes the supply and integration of a set of process equipment for 3 blood derivatives workshops. Together, these achievements will enable the laboratory to meet a growing and ever more demanding health demand.
