Our partner NYETIMBER won the title of best sparkling wine in the world!
Congratulations to our long-standing partner, NYETIMBER, which was recently awarded Champion Sparkling Wine at the International Wine Challenge 2025 in London. Their English sparkling wine, produced in PIERRE GUERIN tanks, has just been crowned the best wine in the world!
It is the first time in the trophy’s 34-year history that a wine from outside of Champagne has won. NYETIMBER is a top-quality sparkling wine, made using the traditional method, and recognised by the world's most famous wine experts. Bottles are served in the most prestigious establishments, which have been enjoyed by the British Royal family on many occasion.
Currently, the brand sells 85% of its bottles on the English market, but the winemakers, Cherie Spriggs and Brad Greatrix, want to develop exports. The wine is produced exclusively from grapes grown in their own vineyards in West Sussex, Kent and Hampshire. Cherie Spriggs has twice been recognized a sparkling winemaker of the year at the International Wine Challenge.
Last september, PIERRE GUERIN installed a new set of 15 stainless vats at NYETIMBER. Now, the wineyards has more than 300 stainless steel tanks manufactured in our workshops. The perfect combination of two areas of expertise.
